Family photoshoots in London and beyond

I am based in North London, but I photograph families across London and the UK

Most sessions are a mix of time at home and a nearby park or playground that feels meaningful to your family. This combination helps tell a more complete story of your everyday life — the comfort of home, and the places where you spend time together. Over the years, this has taken me across London, including areas such as Highbury & Islington, Brixton, Willesden, and Hoxton. London also offers an incredible variety of locations for family photography. Popular choices include Hampstead Heath, Richmond Park, and Greenwich Park.

Alongside London sessions, I also offer family photography for visitors and vacation stays in London, capturing your time in the city in a natural, documentary style. Occasionally, I also photograph families outside of London for selected commissions and personal projects, depending on availability. I am often in Cumbria, and take on family sessions there when I am working in the area.

“These photos are of very good quality”

Hello I’m Ana

There are few things that I love more than a great photo - but what truly stays with me is handing someone a piece of their own story. The kind they didn’t realise they’d been living in until they see it frozen in front of them.

I’m here for connection over perfection. My work is about preserving those meaningful daily rhythms and interactions before they slip by unnoticed. Because one day, these ordinary days will be the ones that matter most.

What to expect from your family photoshoot

BEFORE THE SESSION

We connect, make sure we are a good fit. I love to know more about your family and your wishes for the shoot and answer any questions you have. If you decide to work with me I will book you in and we will schedule a consultation to have a deeper conversation about what to expect on the day.

DURING THE SESSION

We hang out and I will take pictures. It will be fun! You don't need to dress up, tidy up, pose or be on best behaviour. This is an opportunity for you to simply enjoy the time with your family doing the things you love in the places you love. The only difference is you will have your friendly photographer in tow. Clients say that it the shoot itself is a lovely experience and that they feel very relaxed.

AFTER THE SESSION

Within a few weeks of your shoot you will receive your lovingly curated and edited slideshow and password protected gallery of your images. Once you have fallen in love with your photos, you can choose your digital files, prints or albums.

Honest and emotional photographs that celebrate your unique and remarkable family life.

My style of photography

I specialise in reportage-style photography. It means no posing, no need for kids to be on best behaviour, and no need to tidy up or plan anything. You will have your very own photojournalist for the day! I will capture real life moments – mayhem, tenderness, fun, intimacy and everything in between.

You will have photos that are a true reminder of what it means to be part of your family at a particular moment in time. The photos will preserve that moment in time so that it can be remembered and treasured.

You can expect natural light photography, documentary-style storytelling, no posing and timeless natural editing.

My work is focused on simplicity, emotion, and authenticity.

Family life isn’t neat or simple, it’s complex and full of feeling….

your photos should be too.

Pricing

I know inviting someone into your family’s world and investing in having it documented is no small thing. That’s why I keep things simple, honest, and flexible.

My sessions start from 2 hours and can go to a full day, so the length can be tailored to your wishes. The session fee starts at 200 for two hours and covers the time we spend together and the careful, thoughtful editing of your images afterwards.

After your session, you’ll be invited to view your private gallery and choose what you want to keep. Most families invest around 500-800 on the session, images and products. Get in touch and I can send you my pricing information and we can see what works best for you.

“We felt very at ease with Ana. She has a great eye for the right moment and how to build a photo. The results are great and so much more “us” than having a studio shoot.”
